Photographs
TCPL archives contain about 4500 photographs, most gathered by the Tazewell County Historical Society for publication in the series of Albums of Tazewell County, Virginia. Images depict people, places, and events in Tazewell County from 1860 through the 1940s and beyond, with the primary focus on the 1880s-1920s. The work of A. M. Black, a professional photographer who worked between 1900 and 1915, is well-represented in this collection. Many of these photographs have been published in this ongoing series:
- Tazewell County Historical Society. An album of Tazewell County, Virginia.
